Shane Pound celebrated his 300th game for the Blues against Marrar.
The event was marked with aguard of honour displayed by the reserve grade team along with Pound running onto theground with his three proud children, Hannah, Alex and Harvey.
A humbled Pound ranthrough the banner onto the all so familiar oval.
At the conclusion of the game, a respectful Marrar team joined the Blues as brothers Tonyand Carl chaired Shane off the ground.
During the club’s post game presentations Pound was presented with the game ball, signedby his team-mates.
Pound responded that he had many fond memories of his years with the club and appreciated everything the club stood for.
Pound is a new and proud inductee asa Blues Life Member.
Unfortunately for Pound the day was soured with a loss to Marrar, 7.7 (49) to 6.10 (46).
The Blues slow first half and inaccurate kicking for goal was the only differencebetween the two sides on the day.
It was alow scoring game with the defenders fromboth teams working overtime.
The games highlight was a sensational high flying markfromSimon Mackie late in the final quarter.
His efforts inspired his team-mates and the intensityof the game lifted, however it was a case of too little too late.

The reserveshavebeen struggling all season for consistent numbersand haveregularly filled the team with under 17s players.
