Wentworthville lead 6-0 after 30 minutes following a penalty conversion and a try as hey struggled to consistantly find a way past the Mounties defensive line.
The Mounties’ Brenko Lee glided over the try line in the last minute of the half to reduce the score to 6-4.
The Mounties seized their chances in the second half as Mitch Barnett, Brenko Lee, Jeremy Hawkins, Pat Mataele found their way over the try line and Mitch Cornish scored three conversions to hand the side a 34-6 win.
Meanwhile, the Mounties Ron Massey Cup side managed a 50-12 victory over Blacktown Workers at HE Laybutt Sporting Complex, Blacktown on Saturday.
Blake Ritchie scored three tries, Mitch Beggs scored two while Sam Aiga, Dave Cahalane, Michael Morris, Joe Roqoko all scored to record an impressive victory.
Elsewhere in the Ron Massey Cup, the Cabramatta Two Blues defeated the Western Suburbs Magpies 36-22 at New Era Stadium, Cabramatta on Saturday.
The Two Blues will next face the Guildford Owls at McCredie Park, Guildford on Saturday while all grades for the Mounties have a bye round this weekend.
