In very cold conditions the young Blues battled againststrongopposition in all gradeson Sunday.

The footballers had a unlucky day out and came home without a win.

The under 11sagain put in a sound performance when they played theGriffith Swans Red but weren’t able to take away the win.

The footballers enjoyed a trip to Canberra withthe Auskick Kids last Saturday when they got to seeGeelong play GWS in the AFL.

TheAuskick Kids joined in with the half time game while the older ones did a lap of honour withother footballers from around the Riverina.

The netballers also had a tough day at it but came away with plenty of positives.

The under 11splayed a taller team in Griffith Swans Red which made it very difficult for the young,smaller Coly girls.

The girls never gave up as theypersistedthroughout the entire match.

Right up to the final whistle the girls werefighting for possession of the ball.

The award went to Emily Hibbert for her strong work indefence.

The under 13swere soundly beaten by Griffith Swans Red, sufferingtheir biggest defeat for the season, 37-8, in theprocess.

The Griffith team demonstrated why they are near thetop of the ladder with their fast and effective team work.

The award went to Hannah Clarkefor her consistent determined efforts.

The under 15s brought home Coly’s only win of the day, beating the Crows36-21.

Coly were in a comfortable position early in the game, whichenabled coach Kim Mannes to make positional changes.

The changes gave Mannes a chance togauge her optionsheading into the final round of the regular season before competing in the finals.

The awardwent to Laura Hogan for her excellent shooting and strong presence in Wing Attack.

Next week the juniors will be at home atColeambally.

The matcheswill be the last games of the home and away season andthey take on the Narrandera Eagles.
